# GoBananas 🍌 🍌 🍌 🍌

**GoBananas is a crazy governance machine.** The Banana ecosystem is controlled by $BANA holders who submit and vote on off-chain proposals that govern the ecosystem. 

When $BANA distribution ends, the protocol starts the GoBananas proposal. This is a *<mark style="color:orange;">reserve currency</mark>* proposal, of course, which is jointly decided by the $BANA holders. In order to get into this state as quickly as possible, $BANA holders can initiate accelerated mining proposals. If the majority decides to do so, the protocol will follow the wishes of the community.&#x20;
